I AM FOR HIRE
For Concerts & Events
My style of music is hugely varied. I can do old standards, show tunes, country, pop, light rock, folk, kids music, and more. You name the theme/ musical era/ genre of music, etc. for your concert and whenever possible I will create a show to fit.
I normally accompany myself with my guitar, and occasional banjo uke. However, I am also happy to be accompanied by a piano, other instrumentation, small or large band, or orchestra.
Tell me what you have in mind, and let's create ...
For Private Parties
I love to entertain and especially to do a 'show'. My first manager taught me to be an 'entertainer' first and foremost. He would tell me, 'People sometimes don't know a good musician from a bad one, but they will always know if they had a good time and, at the end of the day, were truly entertained ! '
My goal is to always live up to that advice!!!
My music can fit all age groups. However, I grew up a 'Baby Boomer' so I guess I would say I can best hit a nerve for groups from age 55 to 105.
That's not to say I can't put on a great show for any age group for I have performed for ALL. When I sing in resorts and guest/dude ranches the age of my audience usually ranges from 5 to 85.
TO DO A HOUSE CONCERT
What Is A House Concert ???
- A house concert is in a private home, hosted by the homeowner. An entertainer is hired to do a one or two hour sit-down show for the guests - usually 2 sets with a break in between.
- Guests are invited to come. Guests usually pay a ticket fee for the show, in which case, all proceeds are given to the entertainer for their performance. However, should the host choose, the host themselves may arrange to pay a set fee to the entertainer out of their own pocket and not charge their guests . The number of guests can vary from 15 to 50, or more, depending on the size of the performing area in the house.
- Food & drink may or may not be included in the ticket price. The guests may even contribute food if that is how it is set up by the host, and bring their own beverage.
- I feel, there really is no need for a 'set in stone' protocol for a House Concert. As long as both host, and entertainer, are in agreement with the arrangement the protocol should be set by the host, specific to their own individual House Concert.
